HOME FOR LITTLE WANDERERS GINGERBREAD EVENT – DECEMBER 2019

December 2019 – STAG employees volunteered at The Home’s Gingerbread House event for the fifth year. This is the 11th year for the event fundraiser for the organization. At the event participants face off in a friendly gingerbread house decorating competition and a winner is always chosen. In 2019 approximately 36 families sponsored and decorated gingerbread houses, some of houses were later donated to local non-profit organization or auctioned off to raise funds.

BASE THANKSGIVING GIVEAWAY – NOVEMBER 2019

November 2019 – STAG sponsored and volunteered at the BASE’s Turkey Giveaway.  Through local food companies and grocery stores, we helped hand out 100s of turkeys, pies, and pork loins to families.  It was a true community effort involving many volunteers.  STAG was thrilled to be involved and give back during the holiday season.

HOME FOR LITTLE WANDERERS TURKEY DRIVE – NOVEMBER 2019

November 2019 – 10 STAG employees volunteered at The Home for Little Wanderers Roslindale location as part of their Thanksgiving Turkey drive.  Tasks include off load turkey and produce from a ten-wheeler, then organizing and putting together kits with turkey and produce for the children and families that The Home serves. 

ROOM TO GROW BACK TO SCHOOL DRIVE – SEPTEMBER 2019

September 2019  – Throughout the month of September, STAG supported Room to Grow’s Back to School Drive, matching any five book purchases through an Amazon Wish List with a $25 donation.  During the drive, over 366 books were purchased.  This is enough for 36 family visits.  Room to Grow provides families with critical resources throughout the first three years of their child’s life.  Research has found that the first three years of life present the greatest opportunity to effect change in brain development.

LUCY’S LOVE BUS FUNDRAISER – SEPTEMBER 2019

September 2019 –  The Charitable Action Committee registered for the Lucy’s Love Bus Sky Diving fundraiser. STAG raised $1,400 and one of our employees made a Leap for Love, assisted by a professional skydiver. In doing this, we exceeded our fundraising goal, provided a year of integrative therapies to a child with cancer, and gave one employee the thrill of a lifetime.

CITY SPROUTS GARDEN BUILD – AUGUST 2019

August 2019 – STAG employees participated in the 4th annual garden build taking place at the Higginson Lewis Middle School in Roxbury, MA. The group turned an abandoned portion of the playground into a multi-level garden with an area for gathering. This event supports CitySprouts in their goal to create outdoor classrooms at inner city schools.

HOME FOR LITTLE WANDERERS FUNDRAISER – MAY 2019

May 2019 – STAG employees volunteered and attended The Home for Little Wanderers 15th annual fundraiser. Volunteers helped with registration, art exhibits, auction items and as greeters. A big part of the event was the beautiful and creative artwork made by kids at The Home depicting their impression of the world. The event was a great success and fun was had by all.

BASE COLLEGE AND CAREER NIGHT – MAY 2019

May 2019 – STAG Industrial was the lead sponsor of the BASE’s annual College and Career Celebration on May 21, honoring student-athletes graduating high school and college.  This year’s senior class achieved acceptances to 58 different colleges and universities.  Each student was given a gift bag containing a laptop, gift card, and bedding for their college dorm room.  It is a great event celebrating education, hard work, and family.  The BASE is helping to create opportunities for a significant number of young folks that will be our future leaders.  The evening’s guest speakers included women’s baseball pioneers Maybelle Blair and Shirley Burkovich; National Grid VP Tatiana Roc; STAG Industrial Inc. SVP Kurt Flionis; and City Realty partner Steve Whalen.

BASE WOMEN’S LEADERSHIP EVENT – MARCH 2019

March 2019 – STAG attended the BASE’s 4th Annual Women’s Leadership Event at Reebok Headquarters.  An esteemed group of women from Harvard-Pilgrim Health Care, Governor’s Office, Boston Celtics, the BASE, and Reebok summed up their motivation force with the words strength, love, and impact.  The women discussed career paths, challenges, and the power of networking and mentoring.  The event raised money to help the BASE continue to change mindsets and create opportunities for urban youth.
